Anlytical pharmacognosy more or less deals with the quality control;
owing to the medicinal properties attributed to a crude it is necessary to maitain its quality and prurity in commercial market.
Without the quality control measures, there is a great possibility that we may encounter the fake, spurious, or adulterated
drugs in the market. So in order to cope with these kind of problems we require the rigid quality control measures and hence
a sound knowledge of analytical pharmacognosy.
